TO ALL IN THE UPCSA
Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the Lord Almighty has spoken (Micah 4:4 NIV)
On 23 August 2023 (a week from now), the citizens of Zimbabwe will take it to the polls to exercise their inalienable God-given right to elect a government of their choice. It is our prayer that the elections will be free, fair, credible and peaceful. We pray for the electoral authority will be endowed with wisdom and courage to put the interests of the people of Zimbabwe before interests of the individual politicians. We also pray that all the parties, politicians and the populace of Zimbabwe will welcome the results of a free and fair process. May everyone feel safe and protected. After the elections, may everyone be able to sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, with no one making them afraid.
It is against that background that the UPCSA is called to a week of prayer. People should pray as individuals, in prayer groups, in churches, schools and workplace.
WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER
