Sadly, it recently came to our attention that Mrs Merle Hefer passed away in her sleep, at the age of 92.
She was a member of St Columba’s for many years, and a member of our Women’s Fellowship. Her daughter, Val Miller, took her to a retirement village near her in Uitenhage, after her husband Wally died and she became more frail.
Merle was a soft-spoken gentle person, who will be missed by all who knew her.
