Update (7th Sept 2021)
Greetings Everyone,
The little Service for my Mom is going to be at 10.00 am on Sunday at St. Columba’s Presbyterian Church, cnr. of Francis Baard (Schoeman Street) and Hilda Street, Hatfield, Pretoria.
Minister: The Rev. Craig Morrison
Mom was so kind and gracious, we are inviting people who are not at the service to have a prayer and do an act of kindness in honour of Mom.

WE FIRST KNEW LOVE BECAUSE YOU LOVED
Thank you for giving us the best of you.
We first knew love… because you loved.
You believed in us,
protected us.
defended us,
and encouraged us
in all of life.
Where there was anxiety, you turned to faith,
Where there was hurt,
You brought us healing.
In times of despair, you dared to hope
and when betrayed,
trust in God is where
you stayed.
Here’s to you, dear Mom!
Your constant giving
gave us a way of living.
Your last word to this world
Was ‘thank you’.
We now humbly return thanks
for your kind and gracious way
that has led us
to our Lord’s highway.

Bereavement Notice: Mrs Verna Baxter (6th Sept 2021)
Good evening family and friends of St. Columba’s Church,
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs Verna Baxter in the early hours of this morning. Sincere condolences to Rev Dr Pat Baxter and her brother. Verna is now with the Lord in eternal rest. To Verna’s friends at St. Columba’s, may you feel the Lord’s presence and know his comfort in the midst of grief.
Pat has requested a family Memorial to take place this Sunday at St. Columba’s, Hatfield, where our Minister, Rev. Craig, will officiate. Rest in Peace, Verna Baxter.
